Your rental property is a huge asset and as such you want to ensure it is well cared for by your tenants. Midterms checks are a key pillar of ensuring the safety of your property investment. But you shouldn’t see your tenants as the enemy, you should work with them to encourage them to care about the property as much as you do, after all, it is their home. A good way to do this is to ensure you have fostered good communication between you and the tenant. When completing mid-term checks give them a good warning and communicate with them to ensure the visits are a good experience for both of you. 

Midterm checks are also a great opportunity to review what property maintenance will be due soon and plan this work before any problems develop.
